- ISCDRA & the Duckweed Forum — the International Steering Committee on Duckweed Research and Applications, formed in 2013 to support the duckweed community. Its free quarterly newsletter, the Duckweed Forum, carries community news, methods, student spotlights and a round-up of recently published papers; all back issues can be downloaded from the site.
- The International Lemna Association — a trade association focused on the commercialisation of duckweed.
- The European Duckweed Network (EDN) — a more recently formed regional network; see the Duckweed Forum for current details.
Stock centres & collections
- The Rutgers Duckweed Stock Cooperative (RDSC) — founded by Prof. Eric Lam at Rutgers University, USA; a global collection of duckweed strains that incorporates much of Elias Landolt's historic ETH Zürich collection.
Genomics & databases
- lemna.org — a repository of duckweed genome assemblies, annotations and analysis tools, with references for Spirodela polyrhiza, several Lemna species and Wolffia australiana.
Conferences
- The International Conference on Duckweed Research and Applications (ICDRA) runs every two years. The 7th ICDRA was held in Bangkok in 2024; the 8th will be in Naples, Italy, in 2026. Reports and announcements appear in the Duckweed Forum.

- The Charms of Duckweed — although no longer updated, an excellent resource developed by Dr John Cross and hosted by the Missouri Botanical Garden.
